Cedar Creek Cross Country Club rocked out the Bandera Trail Runs on January 12 at Hill Country State Natural Area. For XC runners that are used to running a 5k down the road and coming home on a school bus, driving 6 hours away to camp in a tent and run a 25k up and down multiple Texas "Mountains" can aptly be described as "Long...but Amazing!" (H.Rose) Evan Arambula, the swiftest youngster in the group, described conditions that made an already challenging course even more Les Miserables. Brandon summed up the experience as a race that "truly tests your physical, as well as mental, toughness"
Joe Pruisatis, Tejas Trails Race Director, never seeks to falsely elevate Bandera to some "Toughest Around" status, but such an effort would be superfluous; anyone that has raced there, and finished their race, knows what they have accomplished, and this time around, the (903) was well repped.
